Beauty & nature inspires fun, vibrant, meaningful design

The Collection
Fun & joyful–a vibrantly colored collection created by Minako Okada, who creates modern day ’wagara’ designs–a traditional kimono & yukata seasonal pattern style. Perfect for those who want pop on their wrist with deeper meaning.
The Artist
Minako Okada, founder of the MinaHomi Design Workshop, is building her own modern-day interpretation of Japanese pattern designs. Inspired by her world travels and the seasons of Japan, Minako-san’s work conveys nature and beauty in a fun & vibrant way.

Magnolias
One of Minako-san’s signature designs. “Magnolias” is presented on the Tokihan One dial with repeating white magnolias against a yellow backdrop, matched with a gold case and mesh metal strap that gives fun and pop to whatever you’re wearing.
In true ‘wagara’ fashion, the pattern invites you to appreciate its seasonal significance as the magnolia flower blooms in March and April–heralding the spring breeze and warm adventures.

Mountains
“Mountains” captures that awe-inspiring feeling of fog giving way to the appearance of blue mountains in the distance, with the morning sky in the background.
The dial is matched with a silver case and deep blue leather strap. The haiku poet, Taneda Santōka, inspires Minako-san in this piece. He once noted “Patiently I taste the mountains,” in appreciation of its natural sensory joy.

Spring Circle
A piece of wearable art, “Spring Circle” is distilled from the flora and fauna that make up spring in Minako-san’s
work. The watch is a canvas for life–each element perfectly framed with a captivating color gradient, mated with an alluring coffee-brown case and leather strap.
Blooming magnolia flowers and saury fish usher in the start of Spring–a time of warmer weather and new beginnings. “Spring Circle” invites us to examine ourselves and start anew. Inspired by ’enso,’ the flow of the season on the dial invites us to inflect and find happiness in our changing selves.
